Volunteers are not paid – not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless.
Meeker Memorial Hospital & Clinics has a diverse group of individuals who generously share their time and talents with you as hospital volunteers. They truly are an extension of our staff and can be seen serving our mission and helping patients, visitors, and staff in nearly every department of the hospital or in the gift shop.
Volunteers assist patients and staff in many ways including:
- Welcoming Guests
- Light cleaning
- Reading
- Delivering flowers
- Transportation assistance and directions to departments for procedures and tests
- Preparation for discharge
- Simple companionship
- Delivering mail
- Checking out at the Café or Gift Shop
