[NOVEMBER 3, 2025] – Meeker Memorial Hospital is proud to announce its new role as a registered Naloxone Access Point (NAP) through the Steve Rummler HOPE Network. This vital designation means that community members can now access free naloxone (Narcan) kits at Meeker Memorial—no questions asked.  

The Steve Rummler HOPE Network launched its Naloxone Access Point program on January 1, 2020, to broaden public access to naloxone (the opioid overdose reversal medication) by partnering with local organizations across Minnesota. Since then, these NAP partners—ranging from health facilities and clinics to public buildings—have offered naloxone for free pickup and, in many cases, on-site training. 

As a NAP, Meeker Memorial Hospital aligns with this mission by ensuring that lifesaving resources are readily available to anyone who needs them—locally and without barriers. 

Anyone in the community can access naloxone at Meeker Memorial Hospital—free of charge and with no questions asked. To receive a kit, simply visit the hospital admitting desk and ask a staff member. While formal training is not required, individuals are encouraged to take advantage of the Steve Rummler HOPE Network’s on-site or virtual training opportunities to feel more confident in recognizing and responding to an opioid overdose.
