Saturday Urgent Care Clinic Returns and Testing for Coronavirus Expands at Meeker Memorial

April 30, 2020 – Meeker Memorial Hospital & Clinics is reopening its Saturday Urgent Care Clinic at its East Clinic in Litchfield starting Saturday, May 2, 2020.

“We are grateful for the support and patience of our community during this unprecedented time,” said Dr. Debra Peterson, Meeker Memorial’s Chief Medical Officer. “We have the necessary precautions in place to protect our patients and staff. We know there is a need in our community, and we are delighted to bring back this most valuable service to our community.” Patients who need Urgent Care can call (320) 693-3233 to schedule an appointment or visit the East Clinic between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Patients who present to the clinic will continue to be pre-screened before they enter the building. These screening procedures have been established as part of several measures designed to help minimize the risk of spreading coronavirus.

Meeker Memorial Hospital has also reopened its COVID-19 drive-thru testing facilities as part of the Minnesota Department of Health’s expanded testing program. As a result, Meeker Memorial is accepting any symptomatic patients in Meeker County. Testing is available by appointments. Patients who are experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19 can call Meeker Memorial’s COVID-19 Nurse Triage Line at (320) 373-1026 to be screened and to schedule a time to be tested. Currently, the coronavirus antibody (IiG) test is not available at Meeker Memorial.

Even in these uncertain times, we are dedicated to the continued care of all patients who are experiencing a broad range of urgent/emergent care needs. The health and safety of our patients and community continues to be a priority.
